Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: January 6, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of HopDial's cloud-based business communications solutions, including VoIP Phone Services, Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), Fax, Messaging, Paging, AI Insights for Calls, and AI Agents (collectively, the “Services”). This AUP is incorporated by reference into the HopDial Terms of Service. Changes to the AUP may be made at any time and will be effective the day following posting to the HopDial website.

1. General Use

HopDial Services are provided exclusively for lawful business and professional communication purposes. You agree to use the Services in a manner consistent with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. The Services shall not be used for any personal, residential, non-business, or non-professional purpose.

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use HopDial Services for any of the following:

  • Any illegal activity, including fraud, harassment, stalking, threats, or violations of privacy
  • Transmitting unsolicited bulk communications (spam), including auto-dialed or pre-recorded calls for telemarketing purposes without proper consent
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to HopDial systems, networks, or other customer accounts
  • Interfering with or disrupting the Services, servers, or networks connected to the Services
  • Reselling, redistributing, or transferring Services to any other person without express written authorization from HopDial
  • Using the Services for unauthorized call center operations, auto-dialing, continuous call forwarding, or traffic pumping schemes
  • Generating artificially inflated calling volumes intended to manipulate traffic or billing
  • Using the Services in a manner that adversely affects other customers or the integrity of the HopDial network
  • Transmitting any content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, or that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Using the Services to violate any export law or regulation of the United States

3. Fair Use

Unlimited calling plans are subject to fair use. HopDial reserves the right to review usage patterns and take action if usage significantly exceeds normal business calling patterns or suggests non-business use such as auto-dialing, call center operations without prior authorization, or resale of minutes. All billing policies and billing increments are defined by the specific service plan selected by the Customer.

4. International Calling

HopDial's Services are designed for use within the United States by persons or entities whose primary business address is in the United States. Using the Services from outside the United States is at your own risk, including the risk of violating local laws or ISP terms of service. HopDial reserves the right to restrict or disconnect service used predominantly for international calling if usage patterns suggest abuse. HopDial's Services do not provide access to emergency services in any country outside of the United States.

5. Security and Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including User IDs, passwords, and the media access control (MAC) address of any adapter. You must promptly notify HopDial if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. HopDial automatically measures and monitors network performance as it relates to the Services, and you hereby consent to such monitoring.

6. Network Integrity

You agree not to take any action that could compromise the integrity, performance, or availability of the HopDial network or any connected networks. This includes actions that create excessive network load, interfere with other customers' service quality, or attempt to circumvent HopDial's security measures.

7. Equipment Compatibility

The Services are not compatible with all non-voice communications equipment, including some office security systems that make automatic phone calls, emergency phones in elevators, certain satellite TV systems, digital entertainment systems, fax machines, modems, and medical monitoring devices. By using the Services, you waive any claim against HopDial for interference with or disruption of such systems.

8. Content Responsibility

You are liable for all content you transmit to any person using the Services, whether or not you authorize such transmission. You represent and warrant that you and anyone who uses the Services, and all content transmitted, comply at all times with all applicable laws, regulations, and instructions for using the Services.

9. Consequences of Violation

Violation of this AUP may result in:

  • Temporary suspension of Services without prior notice
  • Permanent termination of Services
  • Modification of your service plan or features
  • All charges owed at the time of disconnection becoming immediately payable
  • Reporting to appropriate law enforcement authorities
  • Pursuit of collection for unpaid amounts, including reporting to credit bureaus

HopDial reserves the right to immediately disconnect the Services at any time without notice for violations of this policy.

10. CALEA Compliance

HopDial intends to fully comply with the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (“CALEA”). By using the Services, you agree and consent to HopDial's right to monitor and otherwise disclose the nature and content of your communications if and as required by CALEA without further notice to you.

HopDial reserves the right to modify this AUP at any time. Changes will be posted on the HopDial website and become effective the day following posting. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified policy. This AUP should be read in conjunction with the HopDial Terms of Service.
